John Bingaman is currently the percussion director at John Horn High School in Mesquite, Texas. He graduated from the University of Lousiana at Monroe and then taught at Allen High School for six years. He has spent the past few years building the percussion program at John Horn High School into one of the top ensembles in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex.
In this interview, John and I talk about how he built the program at John Horn High School and discuss various teaching methods and practices he's found to be extremely effective.
