Improve Your Rudimental Musicianship with Brian Blume
Brian Blume is a recognized percussionist, composer, and drumline educator and we're excited to have him join us in this interview. Brian began playing with his high school marching band when he was in just sixth grade and then went on to march the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps for four years playing snare drum. He attended Indiana University where he earned both his bachelors and masters degrees in music. Brian Blume teaches the Center Grove High School Drumline and freelances around the Indianaplis area. He is the composer of a number of percussion pieces including the well known snare drum solo entitled "Strands of Time" published by Tapspace. Brian Blume currently writes for drumlines around the country and recently released a Christmas album featuring original arrangements of traditional Christmas songs.
