You know what surprises me?
The fact that there aren't many people who grid things on a regular basis.
Why?
Because gridding is one of the most effective ways to improve your playing ability.
Seriously.
Gridding on a regular basis will help you:
1) Expand your rudimental vocabulary
2) Enhance your chops
3) Increase your rhythmic creativity
4) Learn music faster
5) Expand the way you think about rhythm
6) Improve your tempo control
7) Increase your precision
8) Boost your technical facility
This is just a guess…
But I don't think there are any Drumline Chops members thinking, "Meh…that stuff's not for me."
If you are thinking that, you're what I call "
crazy"
